Yes. Water in java did not flew anywhere. It was always static. So it was impossible to test if block could hold water in.

But to the matter. While blocks cant hold water for now, but in current game version you can put chunks of stone to cover holes up.…

I don´t think the Blocks in the Java version could hold back water. But then again, in Java you had 2 very different types of Blocks. One was a static one that you could not rotate, place or resize freely. And then there were planks and beams, which you…

I prefer personally to dig for gold, because I can also dig for sulphur at same time. Overall not a fan of breaking rocks on surface ,when I play survival. It can spoil the view.

When do mining what careful what hit. If reach gravel/sand and deep is under 90 height, stop asap! Keep a rake on hot bar. If fast and have a bit of luck, you can ''repair" accidentally hole if you are fast enough before water fill all.

If you want water against regular blocks use creative static water blocks, they will function as a dam that looks like water fooling you into thinking it is the regular blocks acting as a dam.

I also used static water blocks to give the appearance that a…

You can fake it with creative static water blocks, but maybe wait for next patch where the area block placement is supposed to be rotatable like object blocks. I made one that has a pond flowing thru a S turn gulley then…

The best gold source is deep cavern around -500. Here you will find many exposed gold vein to easy collect them. Deep caves is a alternative too to find exposed gold vein.

It’s spawns at almost all levels, but as Bamse said, the deep water caverns between-480 and -500 will yield the most gold. You can simply walk around and find it on the walls.

i think, in creative mode you can place "static" water. For survival no. For destroyed base with a bit of work you can save them. First you can place some raw materials (stone, dirt, sand, etc,,) to block water. After make a cavern under base and drill a…
